How To Lock/Unlock Widgets in Blogger
You may have used blogger templates containing widgets that are non removable. Some widgets don’t works correctly if we move them to a different place inside our blogger blog. Imagine How it will look if we move header of a blogger blog inside its post body? Most of the developers prefer to add movable widgets so users can easily customize them. But, some widgets a  re not made to change their place. Today we are going to discuss how to lock or unlock widgets in blogger blog.

Follow steps given below to lock/unlock a widget in blogger

How to Lock/Unlock Widget in Blogger

Login into your blogger account → Click on Edit HTML → (Make sure that you have a good backup of your blogger template so you can use the backup in case if anything goes wrong.) → Now at the top of the screen you will see a “Jump To Widget” drop down menu. Click on that button and a list will appear. Now click on the Widget ID of the widget that you want to lock or unlock.

After Clicking on Widget ID, it will take you to the code of that specific widget that you want to lock or unlock. It might look different on your blogger template but the overall look of the widget code is similar to the code given below.

Now if you want to lock a widget then replace locked='false' with locked='true' and if you want to unlock a locked widget then replace locked='true' with locked=’false’ (If you want to delete the entire widget then you can do this by deleting all the code in between ...... tags )
