for recording 32-bit games in 64-bit ubuntu
sudo apt-get install simplescreenrecorder-lib:i386
So after running these commands simple screen recorder will be installed, but for recording in all file formats, you need to install Ubuntu restricted extras. So run the following command to install Ubuntu restricted extras
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
Now you are ready to record your desktop.
