- First thing you need to do is visiting the official Ubuntu page where you can download record my desktop for free. So here is the link to get record my desktop: https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/saucy/gtk-recordmydesktop/
- Now click on the download button. If you are unable to see the link open in Ubuntu software center, then Associate apt links in Firefox with "/usr/bin/software-center"
- After doing this, links will open in Ubuntu software center.
- Now Ubuntu software center will open up, click on install button
- Now enter your password in Ubuntu software center.
- Then click on authenticate
- Now wait for Ubuntu Software center to install Record my desktop
- After finishing the installation process, you will small record my desktop icon in the the left panel.
- Now you can use record my desktop to record your desktop screen
- Now your recordings are saved and now you can edit them with open shot or any other video editor. You can also upload them on YouTube.
