Today in this tutorial I am going to tell you about what is a Random Post Widget ? and how could you add this to your blogger blog? Random post widget is a tool in blogger that really helps us showing older posts randomly and this thing also improves blogger strength and look.
There are some features in this widget you can change the post picture size easily I mean complete customization is included in this widget.This also shows us the no of comments and the date when you posted the article.If you haven't added an image to your blog there is a backup image that automatically appears on those posts which don't have an image inside them.
Adding Random Post Widget To Blogger
Step 1: Go to your blogger Dashboard.
Step 2: Now go to Layout and Click on 'Add a Gadget'.
Step 3: After clicking on 'Add a Gadget' link a new page will pop up choose 'HTML/JavaScript' and add a new gadget.
Step 4: Paste the below code inside the HTML/JavaScript box.
Step 5: Now Follow these steps for Customizing the Random Post Widget.

- If you want to Show more than 4 posts replace the value '4' with your desired number.
- You can change the size of Thumbnails by changing the values from width: 60px; height: 60px;
- To change the Text snippets visibility change 'no' to 'yes' in the below line
randomposts_details2 = 'no';To show more characters in post snippet change the value 60 to your desired value
For turning off the post date and number of comments change 'yes' to 'no' in the below line.
var randomposts_details='yes';Step 6: Now click on Save Template and you are done !
